Jimmy's Art Exhibit

Uncle Jim had one of his necklaces on display in Edmonds for the Seattle Metals Guild. There were over 50 different artists and some amazing creations. Hopefully, Jim wins the Romance category for his necklace. Go Jim Go!

Breeders Cup 2009

What an exciting weekend. Nancy's horse, Tapitsfly, won the Juvenile Fillies Turf race on Friday, Nov. 6th. It was so nerve racking and exhilarating at the same time. Basically, this will be something I will keep with me forever.

Ahhh...Cougar Football!

We might not be the best team in the Pac-10 but we sure know how to have a good time. WSU played Hawaii in Seattle at Qwest Field. The score...don't know I left at 2nd quarter. I think we came back but still lost.

Enjoying the sunshine with my frat boys!

Mia and I decided to sit with Hawaii fans...nice and close!

Sloopersize!

Some friends came into town from North Carolina. I wanted to show them a good time so I took them to some of my favorite places. Friday we went to the Mariners game against the Yankees. A-Rod didn't play which was a shame but we did have a girl run on the field and stopped mid way because she got tired. Good thing she stopped, the cops weren't in any shape to run. haha Then we went out on the town to the Sloop in Ballard. They have a Sloopersize, which is a 33.8 oz mug full of your drink of choice. And it's cheap...only $4. Eventually, we headed to Freemont and enjoyed some good ol' English fun at George & Dragon.

Barcelona... Que Bueno!

The UEFA Champions, Barcelona, came to play the Seattle Sounders FC in a friendly match. Obviously, we weren't much of a threat to one of the best teams in the world but the game was still entertaining. The attendence was recorded breaking for any soccer event held at Qwest Field...66,848!!! We beat the Mexico v. China match by 18 people!

Em's Gone :(

One of my best friends just moved to Chicago for a great job. Why can't I find one? Well, a bunch of us got together to celebrate with Emelissa before she headed to the windy city.

Dinner in Ballard...I think every appetizer was ordered and dessert!

The day after her bachelorette party, Tara stills looks pretty darn good!
You gotta love Kings!

Tara's Bacherlorette Party

One of my good friends is getting married in September! We celebrated by going out to 88 Keys, a dueling piano bar in Seattle. Due to the large amount of beverages consumed by the bachelorette, we never made it to another bar. Thank goodness, we are too old to stay out past 11pm. :)

All the girls at 88 Keys!

Ahh the creepy pianist danced for Tara, GROSS!!!!

This didn't happen, but we all got on stage to dance!

Remodeling

So there is spring cleaning and then there is just right out updating the house to the 21st century. My mom and I decided to skip the spring cleaning and remodel. We have scrapped the popcorn off the ceilings, stripped the wallpaper, textured the walls, primed, painted, bought new carpet, new laminate wood flooring and new lighting. Phew is that it? Nope, more to come but our bodies can only handle a little at a time.

Death Cab for Cutie concert!

Jess and I went to the Death Cab concert at Marymoor. It was nice and hot and great people watching! We were dorks and got caught sneaking in airplane shooters. Oh well, next we will get them in!

Before the concert started, sweating our butts off

Sounders FC v. Chelsea

Yes, that is right Chelsea ventured out to the United States to play the Seattle Sounders FC in a friendly match. Despite the Sounders losing 2-0, they held their own and played competitively. Great exposure and experience for the players and the soccer community. Over 65,000 people showed up for the match, what a great turnout. Up next BARCELONA, August 5th!!!!

Livin' it up in Spokane!

I went over to Spokane with some friends to just have girl time! It was good to hang with my old roommate from college and remember all the good times we had. We also went to Spokane Falls. Never been there before...who would have thought they were there and so beautiful?!
