Boston Fun...Memorial Weekend

I went to visit Carl and Monica over Memorial weekend in Boston. Monica's sister had a soccer tournament that weekend so we watched some of the games. Well, we watched her dad more then the games. Monica's father is an enthusiastic supporter and here is a little video of him cheering on the team.

Monica and I walked through downtown Boston, while Carl studied...slept.

One of my favorite bands broke up, but the lead singer is still going on tour. He happened to be playing in Boston so we all went to check them out at the Showcase Live Theater right next to the Patriots Stadium. I didn't get to see Tom Brady. :(

Here is Pete Francis and Barefoot Truth jamming out!

Bill Nye the Science Guy...

In sixth grade, Bill Nye the Science guy came to my classroom and video taped us while we used the ham radios. It was pretty exciting! I can't believe how young we were.

Here is the youtube link:

BMO Vancouver Marathon

My friends, Emelissa and Gopi, and I ran in the Vancouver half marathon last weekend. We all finished under the 10min miles. It was great, the sun was shining, the scenery was majestic and the atmosphere was pumping. I am addicted now and want to run a full marathon sometime. I will definitely have to train more for that though. Here are some fun pics of us after the run.
We FINISHED with Style!

The New Face of Travel

I entered in a contest to be the "Face of Travel" spokesperson with the US Travel Association. The rules were for me to make a 45-60 second video on why business travel is important to me, my company (BER) and the community. Since I travel six days a week, I thought I would be a great candidate for the contest. Hopefully, I win and you might be able to see me on TV.

Chicago Cubs Game

My sisters friend, Beth, lives in Chicago and when I went there for work we meet up. We went to a Chicago Cubs game against the Cincinnati Reds. Since we didn't have tickets prior to the beginning of the game, we ended up scalping $40 tickets for $10. They were really good seats too. Wrigley Field was kind of different. The pitchers warmed up on the field instead of in a bullpen. Also, they don't have jumbo trons like at Safeco Field. I guess their field is a lot older then ours.

Our seats...

Just got some refreshments!
